For nearly a century, people have come here to meet Jesus, find community, and experience the presence of God.
We’re thankful for every chapter behind us, and we’re looking ahead with faith for all He still wants to do.

A Living Legacy
Brownsville has a rich history but an even brighter future.
Over the decades, people have come through these doors and found Jesus, experienced healing, received hope, and discovered a community that felt like home. During the Brownsville Revival, people traveled from around the world with a hunger to encounter God, and we remain deeply grateful for every life that was changed.
That history will always be part of who we are, but it is not where our story ends.
Brownsville today is a growing, multigenerational church filled with young families, students, longtime members, and people who are taking their first steps toward Jesus. We still believe in the power of God's presence. We still believe the Bible changes lives. And we still believe God wants to move in this generation.
We honor what He has done, and we look ahead with hope for what is still to come, touching lives around the world.
Why We're Here
From Sundays and groups to serving and community outreach, everything we do is meant to help people know Jesus more deeply and live out their faith in everyday life.
Our mission
We exist to help people find Jesus, follow Jesus, and further His Kingdom.
Our VISION
To see every person encounter Jesus, become a fully devoted disciple, and live on mission for the glory of God.
Meet Our LEAD Pastors
Jacob & Lexie Peterson
Brownsville has been part of Jacob's story since he first arrived as an 18-year-old intern. Over the years, he has served as Youth Pastor, Young Adult Pastor, and Ministry School Director — each role giving him the chance to know the people of Brownsville, invest in the next generation, and grow in his love for the local church.
Today, Jacob and Lexie lead Brownsville with a desire to see people genuinely encounter Jesus, become strong disciples, and live with purpose. They want Brownsville to be the kind of church where people find family, discover where they belong, and are encouraged to take their next step with God.
They care deeply about building for the future while honoring the story God has already written here — every generation growing together, young leaders stepping into their calling, and the hope of Jesus reaching more people throughout Pensacola and beyond.
Jacob and Lexie are raising three daughters, Rhys, Piper, and Olive. They love traveling and spending time together in Pensacola — Jacob enjoys writing, drinking great coffee, and turning vision into something real. For their family, Brownsville is more than a place to lead. It's home.
What We Believe
Our beliefs are rooted in Scripture and centered on Jesus.
We Believe the Bible Is the Word of God
The Bible is God's inspired, infallible, and authoritative Word. It is our foundation for faith, truth, and daily living.
We Believe in One God Existing in Three Persons
There is one true God who eternally exists as Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. Each person of the Trinity is fully God, distinct in person yet one in essence.
We Believe Jesus Christ Is the Son of God
Jesus is fully God and fully man. He was born of a virgin, lived a sinless life, died for our sins, rose from the dead, ascended to heaven, and will return again in power and glory.
We Believe Salvation Is Found in Jesus Alone
Every person is separated from God by sin and in need of salvation. Through faith in Jesus Christ, His death and resurrection, we receive forgiveness, new life, and eternal salvation.
We Believe in Water Baptism
After salvation, believers are commanded to be baptized in water as a public declaration of their faith in Jesus Christ.
We Believe in the Baptism in the Holy Spirit
The baptism in the Holy Spirit is a gift available to every believer, empowering them for holy living, ministry, and witness. We believe the gifts of the Spirit are active and available today.
We Believe in the Gifts and Work of the Holy Spirit
The Holy Spirit empowers believers, produces spiritual fruit, distributes spiritual gifts, and continues to move in power today through healing, miracles, prophecy, and other gifts described in Scripture.
We Believe in Divine Healing
Jesus still heals today. We believe healing is provided through Christ's atoning work and that we should pray in faith for physical, emotional, and spiritual healing.
We Believe the Church Is God's Plan for the World
The Church is the body of Christ, called to worship God, make disciples, care for people, and share the Gospel locally and globally.
We Believe Every Believer Is Called to Live on Mission
Every follower of Jesus is called to use their gifts, serve others, and participate in God's mission of reaching the world.
We Believe in Biblical Marriage and Sexuality
We believe God created humanity as male and female and that marriage is a sacred covenant established by God between one man and one woman. We are committed to loving every person with grace, dignity, and compassion while remaining faithful to biblical truth.
We Believe in the Sanctity of Human Life
Every person is created in the image of God and possesses inherent value and dignity from conception to natural death.
We Believe Jesus Is Coming Again
Jesus Christ will personally and visibly return to establish His Kingdom and fulfill God's plan for humanity.
We Believe in the Resurrection and Eternal Judgment
There will be a future resurrection of all people. Those who have placed their faith in Christ will enjoy eternal life with God, and those who reject Him will face eternal separation from God.
